MAROR

Sant Fransesc’s beach.
Salt, water and sand as a personality.
This project is a tribute to my geo-identity, of which I have been most conscious when writing this project. Everything that surrounds us influences our way of being and doing, and the sea is undoubtedly one of them. My family has always had the sea very present in their identity and this has also been passed on to me. Every influence generates a change, like that of the sea according to the wind that blows. This produces one feeling or another in the people who enjoy it.
I can't imagine the day when I will have to leave my sea, my sunshine, my wind, for a period of time longer than two weeks. For twenty-three years I have lived knowing that I could run away to escape by the sea, with the smell and the wind that accompany it, to be able to be in contact with "my place" again.
The project has been called MAROR for a very simple reason, in my house we used to relate the state of the sea with the mood of each person, so when it is "mala maror" we say that we are more likely to have a bad mood, whereas when the sea is calm and it is "bona maror" we are in a good mood. Since the sea is so important in the way of being, being and thinking, I thought it was appropriate to put MAROR in this project, it is a very clear link between us and the sea.
