MY BRIDES

LAYER-ED

With this collection I wanted to go further and not just stick to the simplicity of forms so characteristic of minimalist architecture. I put an image in front of me and extracted the information in a totally objective way. I didn't want to base myself on anything decorative and I was struck by the important role of light, light as decoration.

Light, and therefore its surplus, are fundamental elements in minimalist architecture, as they play an essential role in the creation of calm and balanced spaces. Natural light is embraced and used as a tool to highlight the simplicity and clarity of materials and forms in this architectural style. These two elements visually form layers of colour, which is where my inspiration for this project comes from.

The interplay between these two elements is meticulously planned to achieve a dramatic and poetic effect. The soft light that penetrates through the better dimensions creates a serene and calm ambience. Their strategic distribution in the space brings depth and dimension to the architectural volumes.

Minimalist architects explore the use of translucent and opaque materials to control the amount of light entering spaces. These careful choices affect the overall ambience and create a harmonious balance between light and shadow. I considered these elements in the choice of fabrics and how they could create textures that reminded me of this architecture, an example of this is the layering of organza or other techniques to create dimension in the dresses, the decoration that nature provides is ultimately what I found in this project.

The detail in the "minimal", the quality of materials and finishes.
